Question:
Greetings. I hope you can help me identify a Red Wing crock from my grandfather’s drug store. It is a 15 gallon crock, a cover with a wooden handle, a spigot at the bottom and what appears to be an intake near the top. Inside, there is a float device. It has a gray glaze, marked "15" in blue, a 3 1/2" red wing, and an oval imprint with Red Wing, Union Stoneware Co, Red Wing, Minn Thank you for your help in identifying this piece of my family’s history. 10 gallon Red Wing Crock
Question:
I recently aquired a Redwing Crock from my Grandparents estate. I was wondering if you could tell me anything about it, like its purpose, approxamate age, and value if any. It is large about two to two and a half feet tall has no handles but has a lid with a simple scalloped design. The markings are on the side of the crock in a vertical row; the number 10 a redwing logo and then a stamp that says redwing stoneware redwing minnesota. There is a small imprinted number 5 on the rim of the crock. Those are all the markings I noticed. I will try to attatch some pictures as well. Thanks very much Krista Gately La Grande, OR

Red Wing Rose history and markings
Question:
I was going through the attic recently & came across a box of Red Wing Rose dinnerware that had been my mothers. I remember her saying that it was "collectible"; so, I brought it downstairs & was washing it. In so doing I noticed that there were different markings on the backs of the different pieces. Some had a red wing with a number (these seemed to be older as the wing was pale pinkish), some said Red Wing Dinnerware/Ovenproof in black printing, and some only said Red Wing etched into the pottery (no color). I was curious to know what the difference in the various pieces was. It would seem that it was actually a collection and not just a purchased set of dinnerware. There are serving pieces along with the "place setting" pieces. I would really appreciate any information that you might be able to pass along. I am fascinated with this discovery! Thank you June

Albany Slip syrup jug
Question:
This dark brown jug is 9 1/2" tall, the bottom measures 7 1/4". The glazing is irregular under the handle so it lookes chipped but it is not. There is a tiny chip on the back side of the handle that can be seen in the photo. It has a spout. The bottom has glazing stripes and looks like the maker wiped it off after they finished painting it. I was wondering what you could tell me about my jug?

Red Wing Provincial Ware 22
Question:
A piece of Red wing came into my possession last week via an old friend. It looks like a small baking dish, 5" diameter and approx 2-3/4" high with a handle and pouring spout. It is brown glaze inside as is the lid and the outside of the pot is yellowish. It says on the side Red wing, provincial Ware 22. that same number is on the inside of the lid. There are no cracks or chips. The handle and outside rim are discolored probably from use. what can you tell me about it and how can I clean it? Thanks so very much. Mary in Maryland

40,50, 60 Gallon Red wing Crock and lid fitting
Question:
I have a 40,50,60 Redwing crocs. Do the lids all have numbers on the lids that match the size of the crock? I have a lid with a 30 on it but way to big for the 30 crock. It fits the 60 perfect? also the 50 is clearly marked and fits fine. the 40 fits fine, but does not have the 40 on the Lid. I also bought a #30 that has 2 identical 30s and wings and stamps only 4inches apart. A mistake but I have never seen one with 2 and that close. Most are on opposite sides, not close together. Thanks for your help.

10 gallon red wing crock
Question:
What is the value of this item. I just retrived it from my mother’s "root celler". It was used by my grandfather to brew wine during the depression. It is in encellent shape except for a surface crack on the bottom which does not go through the jar. It does hold the full 10 gallons of liquid without showing signs of leaking. Thank you Dave
