Question:
I have a piece sitting in my basement that I have been trying to determine the value of… only its not redwing so I don’t know if you will be able to help me. But even if you could point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
I have a 40 gallon crock apparently made by Western Stoneware in IL. It has no cracks. I didn’t notice any chips around the top lip. I am including a picture. Thank you for any help you can give me.

Difference between Birch Leaves with blue or black ink

Question:
Al, Thank you very much for helping us newbie’s out. The info you provide has helped me out tremendously. A question I have is there a value difference between having birch leaves stamped in blue ink or black ink? I know after reading a lot of your answers to other questions that it is very important to have a bright clear stamp but I have not read anything on whether the color of the ink mattered in a crocks value. Also I was wondering if having an oval or not having an oval on a birch leaf crock effected the value with everything else being equal. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge!
