Red Wing 2301 bowl with blue speckle

Question:
I just got this art pottery piece 2301 I have never seen this pattern before itnis all blue with black speckels on the outside. The inside of the bowl part is all white but on the bottom it says red wing usa 2301 and it has 2 hand written sets of numbers that are in black pencil of some sort is this maybe a test piece? Any info would be helpful and maybe a value of what it would be worth?

Answer: Hello

The marks don’t seem to be the standard glaze test markings, so I will go with another hobby shop piece, not glazed by Red Wing. It’s an anniversary line shape, designed in 1953. Value maybe around 25.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose

Bob White Markings

Question:
Good Evening, My question is this, what is the sequence of the Red Wing markings on the bottom of the dinner ware? I have a large collection of Bob White and there are at least 5 markings on the different pieces, what is the order that they were used in production, including the time period when there was not a mark? This would really help when trying to date some of the pieces. I have looked though the books that I have and nothing is mentioned and my wife and I were just up in Red Wing this last weekend and could not find anyone that could help me. Thank you for time and consideration in advance. A Bob White collector for over 30 years. Dale Retallic

5 gallon etched Albany Slip Red Wing Jug, side stamped

Question:
I have an Albany Slip #5 Redwing Jug. It seems to be in excellent to mint condition with no chips or cracks. It has the cursive #5 on front and the side stamp (REDWING STONEWARE COMPANY) etched on the back of the jug near the bottom–not on the handle. Are these types of jugs uncommon and what would you think would be an approximate estimate of value? I do have other pictures of it. Thanks Robert
