Question:
Hello, I was helping my mom clean out her kitchen and fell in love with a dark brown jug with light green lid that stands on a simple black metal stand which has a round bracket underneath to hold a sterno if you want to keep the drink hot. The sides of the pitcher have little protrusions that support it in the stand allowing it to tip forward to pour. It is brand new and I now have it on my counter holding ice water. My girl friend saw the bottom and said "That is a red wing! ". Needless to say now I am worried about breaking it! Can you tell me anything about it? Thanks, Jodi

Brushed Ware Pitcher
Question:
Hello, I have the opportunity to purchase what I think is a Red Wing brushware pitcher. I was unable to take pictures but it is identical to this one on worthpoint: http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/red-wing-brushware-stoneware-pitcher
The piece is in mint condition without so much as a small chip so I am curious about its value and date of possible production. Sincerely, Jeff
Spongeware pitcher
Question:
Would be interested to know more about a spongeware pitcher that belonged to my grandmother. She was born 1899 in Lodgepole Neb and the pitcher belonged to her grandmother. Pitcher is 9 1/4" tall & 5" wide at the base with a smooth shinning finish. There are 3 small bands around the pitcher beginning an 1" from top and up from the bottom. In between the bands, there are raised Xs to form diamond shapes. The bottom half also has a row of some type of raised spots ( we think maybe acorns). Colors- tan/beige background with dark green & light brown sponge marks. A small chip below lip but doesn’t show because of the colors. Would really like to know more about the pitcher. I remember mamaw pouring fresh cow’s milk from the pitcher 60+ years ago. Thanks for any help. Wesley
