Question:
My mother is 96 and moving out of the home where she has lived for many years. In the basement we found a Red Wing pot that she says she got from her mother. It’s 9 3/4" high, 9 1/2" wide, straight sides, has a scrolly "2" on the side and under that is the red "Red Wing" insignia and under that, in an oval it has
Red Wing
_____
Potteries, Inc
_____
Red Wing, Minn.
There are no scratches, chips or cracks in it. We are curious to know if this has any monetary value. Thank you for any information you can provide. Thanks Judie
Answer: Judie, if your grandmother’s 2 gallon Red Wing crock has the Potteries oval, then that tells me it was manufactured between 1936 & 1947. Value would be around $50 to $60. Al Kohlman
