Question:
I have an Albany Slip #5 Redwing Jug. It seems to be in excellent to mint condition with no chips or cracks. It has the cursive #5 on front and the side stamp (REDWING STONEWARE COMPANY) etched on the back of the jug near the bottom–not on the handle. Are these types of jugs uncommon and what would you think would be an approximate estimate of value? I do have other pictures of it. Thanks Robert

Answer: Robert, these Albany slip beehive jugs are somewhat hard to find, in both mint condition and side stamped. Not impossible, but not sitting at every corner either. In mint condition $1000 to $1200. You have a nice looking jug there! Al Kohlman
