Brown Spongeware Spittoon Follow up

Question:
Al your recent posting on the Brown Spongeware Spittoon I believe to be in error. Yes this spitton shown in the picture is a Red Wing product. It is hand turned and is most often found in blue sponging or with a brown top and white bottom. This shape appears in the price guides by Larry Peterson and his most recent Encyclopedia. The same can be said for mold seam cuspidors made by Red Wing. They are for the most part found in blue sponge but occasionally show up in brown sponging as well. Steve L.

Capistrano Pattern, bowl 9 inch, Anniversary Line

Question:
I’m looking for a value on a Red Wing bowl. The # on the bottom is kind of hard to make out, I think 1126. The wing says Red Wing, hand painted with USA printed below the wing. All the printing on the bottom looks purple. The bowl is nearly triangular with a lip on one of the points. There are a couple of small chips on that lip. The painting includes a swallow, fruit, & some grasses. About 9 inches in diameter. Thank you.

2 gallon Red Wing Churn

Question:
I have a #2 Red Wing water cooler and was wondering if you believe it has been repaired or not. I was told it has never been, but can see a seam on the side, seems to go on the bottom, and perhaps continue onto the other side. Inside the crock I can feel a seam too, however that seem doesn’t match up with the one on the outside. Thanks so much for you help. Sarah

Question:
I have a vase, beige or sand or tan colored, whatever you want to call it, with a light green interior glaze,13" tall, with a ‘swirl’ design worked in. It’s about 9" in diameter at 5" tall, then curves in so the neck and opening is 3.5" in diameter. Does this have some value, or is something to send to GoodWill? Janet Melby
