Question:
HI I have a set of Red Wing Stoneware and I was wondering what its value is approximately of course.

It is a cream and brown set with light blue and brown designs on the items. This is the inventory:

Mugs – 10
Saucers – 10
Bowls – 8
Dinner plates – 10
salads plates – 8
Serving plates – 2
Serving dishes – 2
butter dish – 1
creamer – 1
sugar bowl – 1
caserol dish -1
salt and pepper set – 1

I think that is all of it, I’ll attach photos thank you Kivi

Answer: Thank you for providing an inventory list of your collection. That makes it possible to estimate the value, which I would place in the range of $150 to $200 for this grouping. However there are some important details missing that could swing this estimate up or down.

1. Condition is not included in the description and that is a very important factor in evaluating dinnerware. Damage will reduce the value significantly, by 50% or more.
2. The identity of the "serving dishes" is not clear. They could be larger bowls, divided vegetable dish, relish dish, celery dish, gravy boat, etc.
3. Pompeii bowls were made in four sizes and they have varying values.
4. The casserole and sugar bowl should have a matching light blue cover with light brown trim. If the covers are missing then they have little value.
5. The salt shaker is a round cylinder shape, tall and narrow. The pepper shaker is short, squat and oval shaped. Quite a few people prefer two shakers in the same shape but they are not a true pair.
