Question:
This is a large thrown? rose fire glazed pot that I’m trying to find who could have made it. One of the prospects was, or is, George Ohr because of the glaze and other aspects of the piece. Thought I’d ask the experts to get their opinion on this piece. One of the aspects is how it was made, the clay looks whitish gray, the base is well defined and it is thin walled. Mario
Answer: Hi Mario
I’m not an Ohr expert, but most all his pieces were marked, altho I do agree it is a bit on the bizarre side… I’m not sure who made it. wish we could be of more help. thanks, steve n rose

Hi, I have this jug that has a petal double row decoration much like the Red Wing crock covers that i have seen. The jug is 6 1/4" tall by about 6" wide, the base is unglazed. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Deb
Thank you first for taking a look at this. Found this in my horder fathers house. He sold and purchased many things at flea markets. This is what I know: Pitcher is 8" high and 4 3/4 across. The bottom states in blue print Red Wing saffron ware. The advertising states in blue ink Inter City Fuel Co., inc. 601 N. Fairview NE. 7884 Coal-Coke=Wood-Fueloil. I have no idea of its value. There is a chip on the outside where you would pour something. Again, thank you for your help. Karen Clark Minnesota
I have a Redwing Pierre Chef cookie jar in excellent condition – no chips or cracks. The only thing I see, is possibly the glazing on the bottom, either shows some wear or maybe thin in the firing? Thank you
