Question:
I have a 4 gallon Red Wing salt glazed crock with Albany slip lining and molded handles. The orange peel surface on the outside is a very pleasing darkish tan color. The cobalt markings are called the bee sting design I think. Below the number the design is a spiral with a trailing line going vertically downward. No cracks, chips, stains or other damage. No marking on bottom. What is the age and value of this crock? This is a pretty crock. Sorry I do not have a picture for you. Gail

4 gallon Red Wing single P with rib cage targeted crock
Question:
Hello there Al ! I have a couple of salt glazed pieces I was wondering if you could possibly help me with on both age and value? The first is what looks to be a very old 4 gallon with an unfamiliar design. I recognize what looks to be a "target" or "bullseye" but I would still like an experts opinion. It has a couple minute flea bites on one of the handles and that is about it. No cracks of any sort. Rome

FAQ–NEW RW STONEWARE
Question:
Hello, I have three pieces that I believe were given to city employees in 2000, 2001, and 2002. Each have a Red Wing Stoneware Company stamp on the bottom and each are numbered out of 300 (presumably a limited run of 300 for each piece?). The handled jug piece has a slot for coins on the upper side and is stamped with the letters "RWS" on the bottom. I also have a tea-light candle holder piece with a separate flared glass cover that I believe was another limited city employee gift, likely from the same 2000-2005 era. I have not been able to find any information on these items. What do you suppose they are worth? Thank you for your time. Thanks, Aaron
