Question:
I have a red wing spongewar 8" bowl with this in the bottom of the bowl: compliments F.R. Brownell Montezuma, Iowa. He told me his grandfather had a store in that town and gave these to customers a a complimentary gift between 1928 and 1939. Wondering if you can tell me more about the production and distribution of this bowl. What the original price was and how much it is worth. It is in very good condition. Any information is appreciated. Shirley Weber Dolleeweb@yahoo.com

Brushed Planter, Robinson Rainsbottom
Question:
Hi! I originally thought this was a brushware Red Wing piece. I tried doing a little research on the internet and found one listed as a "Peter’s and Reed" piece. Could you give me any info you may have on it? Measures approx. 2 5/8 in. tall / approx. 7 3/4 in. across the top. Has a chip on the bottom rim. Thank you!! Troy
Answer: Hi Troy
this isn’t a Red Wing shape, I’m not sure of the maker. Another company might be Robinson Rainsbottom, out of Ohio. They made a lot of items like this one. Wish I could be of more help. thanks, steve n rose
