Driftwood Platter, Anniversary Shape

Question:
I bought a piece of what I believe to be the Red Wing Driftwood pattern at a local antique sale. There is a red marking on the bottom with a wing logo, and it says simply Red Wing Handpainted. The number "297" is printed beneath it. The plate is odd-shaped – neither round nor square. There is also a waffling type texture to the platter – it is not smooth. Can you give me a history of the piece and approximate background? It was purchased for $9. Thank you!

Village Green Bean Pot, 4 quart size

Question:
I have a Village Green pot, brown base approx. 12" tall, 8"diameter, with a green cover. Glazes appear undamaged, no crackling or chips. Bottom is marked "Red Wing" "USA". Photos of inside and under side available if necessary. Could you tell me what it is, was used for, and approx. value? Thank you much. Neil

Sand/Lobby Jar with deer or stag decoration

Question:
I am attempting to identify the manufacturer of a sand ashtray. It has two moose on the front and around the back it has a pine and deciduous trees. A photo of the front is attached. There are no manufacture marks on the outside or inside. The outer has a "sand" finish, while the inside is glazed. It is 15" high and the diameter is approximately 12 1/2". When I bought it, it had a circular sheet metal tray which was filled with white silica sand to put cigarettes out. It was previously in the old St. Paul Labor Temple, which was torn down some 30 years ago. Any information you are able to provide will be appreciated. Thanks, Bill

this does appear to be Red Wing, and it is actually called a sand or lobby jar. Used for an ashtray. It dates to the early 30′s. Shape * 107. We call it the deer or stag sandjar. Nice item, value is around 4-500 if marked. there may be a circular ink stamp on the bottom. thanks, steve n rose

Saffron Bowl

Question:
Hi. I came across this bowl and believe it may be Redwing. Please let me know what you think. I did not attach a photo of the bottom. It is marked with an 8 and it is underlined. It has blue lines near the upperedge and around the outer. I believe its approx 8in tall, and 8in in circumference. Around the outer edge, on the underside, there are five smooth indentations. Red Wing 1120 vase

i have a green colored redwing vase, with a single deer and leaf motif. The number on the bottom of the vase is #1120. Unfortunatly i am unable to send a pic at this time. T. Watson
