there are several different shapes done in the brushed ware line, so this is just a guess. An average price would be around 100.00 or so. A pic would be great, or a shape number. thanks, steve n rose

“G. Martini & Co. Wholesale Liquor Dealers, Calumet, Mich.” jug

Question:
I have a jug with advertising that says "G. Martini & Co. Wholesale Liquor Dealers, Calumet, Mich." It is 1/2 gal. in size. The ovel around the adv. has a heavy oval ring an a lighter one inside of that. The printing is very vibrant and clear. The handle has the "pinched" look at the part that meets the jug itself. There are no chips or cracks: a very clean jug. The thing I’m wondering about is the shape of the jug. It doesn’t look like your tipical Red Wing jug shape. Is it a Red Wing? If so, what is it’s value. If you need a photo, I will send you one. Thank you, Barb

Answer: Hi Ron.

It’s not considered stoneware, but part of the art pottery line. The B would be for designer Belle Kogan. The number doesn’t quite match anything I have, try another look, there may be another number in there. thanks, steve n rose
