Question:
My Mother-In-Law just gave me her Round Up Pottery. I have attached a picture of the items she had. A fairly large selection. I would like to know if some of these peices are rare. Like the salad dressing containers, etc. Can you give me an estimate of what this collection might be worth?
Answer: Round Up is near the top of the list when it comes to popularity of Red Wing dinnerware with collectors. Like all dinnerware patterns, the basic place setting pieces (plates, bowls, cup & saucer) are more plentiful than accessories. Of the pieces in the photo, I would consider the long bread tray and the cruets with metal stand to be the most difficult to find. But the demand is greater than the supply for Round Up, and all of the items in your photo have considerable value in today’s market. It’s difficult to identify all of the items stuffed into this little photo and there is no mention of their condition. But I’d conservatively estimate the value of this collection to be $2000 and probably closer to $3000.
