Red Wing Vase 1048

Question:
We received this vase as a gift from my sister-in-law. It stands about 8 1/2 inches tall.White glaze exterior, with a pink interior. It is marked on the bottom 1048 or 1042 or 1043, the last number is very difficult to read. It has the Red Wing Logo on front in what appears to be metal(silver?)There also appears to be a slight bleeding of the interior pink on the front. Thank you James

Brittany Cup and Saucers

Hello: I have inherited soem Brittany dinnerware. I am interested in selling them and I am wondering what these pieces might be worth. I do think they are beautiful but I think they should go to someone who collects them. I have 6 cups, 4 cup saucers, 4 of the cups in great shape, 2 have small chips and two of hte saucers in great shape, 2 with chips on the underside. what do you think? Marilyn

Round Up Dinnerware

Question:
I have an assortment of Red Wing hand painted pieces with western theme – mostly cowboys branding cattle. The piece in front of me is a meat platter with the number 349 on it. The other pieces are packed away in boxes (cereal bowls, a few dinner plates, cups, saucers, and then some larger pieces like a bean pot with a lid, an approximate 2 gal. piece with spiggot, 2 pitchers, etc.) I’m not sure I’d ever want to sell them, but wondered what their value might be. The dishes aren’t in as good a shape as the serving pieces. Some have chips. The meat platter has a couple of small chips on the underside of the rim. What can you tell me about them? I’m sure my parents bought them at Red Wing probably in the early 60′s, if I had to guess the time frame. Thanks. Dori

Advertising Jugs

The first jug 1/2 gallon with brown top the Sterling Wine House corner of Seventh and Cedar streets, St. Paul, Minn has a couple of very small chips.
