I have a bean pot? that was my grandmothers. It is glazed inside and on the lid. The outside is unglazed. The glaze color is a warm sienna type brown. The outside is a matte ochre. On the bottom in has a raised stamp that reads Red Wing USA 405. There is also a # 117 on the interior of the lid I will try to attach a picture. I am wondering what the value might be. I picked this piece up many years ago and was wondering what it is? I always referred to it as a cookie jar although I doubt that is the true use. It is stamped red wing saffron wear on the bottom. It seems to have discoloring in the glaze from the bottom up to the slip bands, is that from heat? I also have a lid that fits it and is ribbed as well although it was cracked completely in half and repaired poorly. What era is this piece from? thank you for your time Jean
