Question:
I am hoping you will have some information about a bowl I have. It appears to be a very early Red Wing Stoneware Co. brown crockery glazed bowl. The entire bowl is glazed crock brown with an unglazed rim & edge under the band as shown. It is 7 1/2" across at the top, 4" high. There is a pontil mark in the centre inside of bowl. Glazed bottom rim has 3 indentations. It is in great shape except for one small chip on the bottom as shown in the picture. The only mark is RWSCo hand etched into the bottom under the glaze. I have searched the web for years and never found one quite like it. Thanks for your help!

Red Wing Crocks
Question:
My mother has some Red Wing crocks in her basement. I am wondering about their value. One of the gray/beige colored crocks has the number 10 on it in the color blue. There is a red wing drawing on front.Stamped on the front are the words, Union Stoneware Co. There is another crock in the same color with the number 5 in blue also. It has two sides handles in black. Stamped on the front it says Red Wing Potteries Inc., Red Wing,Mn. The third crock has the number 3 in blue , with the red wing drawing on front also and writing on front says Union Stoneware Co. She has two other crocks, smaller in size with no writing on them . Could you give me any information about these pieces of pottery? Mary Miller

Whiskey jug
Question:
I recently found this whiskey jug at a local thrift store. The jug says "Quinn’s Quality Quantity (QQQ) – Largest Mail Order Grocer and Liquor Merchant in the West – Rye Whiskey – Kansas City, MO." It is approximately 13" tall, 11" wide and 4" deep. The only damage is a 1" narrow chip on the inside rim of the bottom of the jug. We have learned that Quinn Grocery Company was open from 1894 to 1919 in Kansas City, MO. I would greatly appreciate any information you can provide about this jug, including possible value and if you don’t believe it’s a Red Wing jug, who you believe may have produced it. Thanks!

Question:
Hello, I have two Red Wing serving trays(?)that are chartreuse inside and gray outside. One is square and is marked Red Wing USA 421, the other is rectangular and marked Red Wing 422. Can you tell me what line they’re from and a possible value? Thanks so much for any help you can provide!
Answer: Hi, these are both console bowls, from about 1953. I can’t find any matching candlesticks to go with them, but the simple shapes would work with just about anything. The glaze is Luster Gray, lined with Yellow. Values are about 15.00 each. thanks, steve n rose
