Red Wing 1162
Question:
I just received a vase with the marking 1162 Red Wing USA on the bottom. It is light blue, 9.5", 4" opening @ top, with ripple markings on the body. There is a leaf/ vine design on the body that circles around it and extends away from it at 2 places. Great condition.. very pretty. Do you have any info on this type of vase. Thanks in advance,
Answer: Hello, it was designed in 1942, on most of these the decorations are glazed a different color than the vase. There are a couple others with a similiar style. Value is around 45.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose

Red Wing Vase M1501
Question:
We’d appreciate any information you have on two of our Red Wing Pottery pieces..both have an "open-handle’ and are numbered M1501..One green, one yellow..What is the value? any difference in value with regards to color? Are they planters? Thank you!
Answer: Hi, they are from 1953, designed by Charles Murphy. He did a lot of the morphic shapes in the 50′s. Not really a planter, but could be used as one. Glaze color won’t make any difference on this one. Value is around 40.00 each. thanks, steve n rose

The number six is stamped or glazed on this cooler. It had no spigot or lid when I received it. It has no cracks or chips. My friend’s mother used this cooler when she was a child and she is now 63 years old. Can you estimate the value for me. I would also like to get a spigot and lid for this wonderful piece of pottery. Thanks
