Provincial Lunch Hour chop plate
Question:
Hi, My father was born in Red Wing, MN (he was a avid Red Wing collector). Before he passed away, he told me he found this large plate in the dumpster at the Red Wing factory sometime in the late 40′s or 50′s. It measures 14"inches across. It’s signed on the back "EMC" in large brown letters. Can you tell me anything about it? Thank you Jim E.

Red Wing B1433, Belle Kogan
Question:
I just bought this vase for my wife as a Christmas present, the bottom says Red Wing on one side and the other has B1433. The lady I bought it from says it was made by a lady named Belle Rogan. I know absolutly NOTHING about this subject and I got it because I know my wife will like its different factor, so I’m not worried about its value, but it would be nice to be able to let her know more about the vase. If you could tell me anything about it, I would really appreciate it. Thank You
Answer: It is a vase designed by Belle Kogan, Red Wing’s one and only female designer. It dates from around 1953, hence the "atomic" look of it. The glaze is called Travertine. There are a couple other similar style shapes done around this timeframe, but it doesn’t belong to any particular line. thanks, steve n rose
Red Wing 2313 pitcher, Anniversary Line
Question:
Hello, Thanks for your help! I have a pitcher with the impressed marking RED WING U.S.A. 2313. It stands roughly 9/1/4 inches tall. The coloring goes from a dark green at the base to a dark blue to white. As the coloring changes from green to blue the is like a "wave" or "drip" if you will all around that is only slighly raised. Going from blue to white it’s as if a light brush stroke was used to ease the transition. Unfortunately, it has two chips and the base of the handle has been glued. My dad was originally from Minnesota so I’m wondering if it wasn’t a wedding gift from a relative or friend from that area. Please advise…thanks!
Answer: Your pitcher is from the anniversary line, 1953. It’s an overlay glaze. Not worth much with the damage, though. thanks, steve n rose

This vase was a wedding gift for my parents during the war years. The Red Wing sticker is still attached. It is 10" from table to rim, 4" across the round base, and 7.5" from handle ear to handle ear. Of course I would like to kow its value, name, and any other pertinent information, because I want to sell it. Thanks so much for your knowledge and help! Sara
Answer: Hi Sara, it’s from 1943, part of line with similiar decorations. The glaze is called egshell ivory, antiqued with brown. Value is around 65.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose
