Question:
My Mother wrote a book about her life and travels from Indiana to North Dakota via covered wagon. We lived in Red Wing for many years and she worked at Boxrud’s for a long time. I feel her book should be displayed somewhere because of her many years and activities in RW. I attended Red Wing St. Joseph’s school and then high school, as well as my sister. We are about to attend our 60th Class Reunion in September and I would love to bring her book along.
Thank you.

Red Wing planters 1344 and 1345
Question:
I have a set of Red Wing planters. They were my Mother’s`and I remember them sitting on a shelf in our house in the 40′s…They are green, with the numbers 1344 and 1345 on the bottom, a little over 6 " tall and have what appear to be asian features. They are holding bouquets of flowers. There are no known cracks or crazing. There are some hard water marks that I am sure I can clean off. I am going to try to sell them and I would appreciate a rough value on the set. Thanks so much, Diane
Answer: Hi Diane
these date to around 1948, and have a value of around 65.00 each.
