Hi Al, I have never seen this advertising on a Red Wing item before. It is 2 gal. in size. No cracks or hairlines, but a few small chips on the bottom edge. Could it be Red Wing? If so, do you know an aproximate value? Thanks, Dave

Red Wing M-1518, designer Charles Murphy

Question:
I bought this at a second hand shop. It has a total of 18 leaves. Its an Oval shape its 10 1/4"s wide at the outer top ends and 7 3/4"s at the base. Its turquoise with black speckles in the glaze. The inner glaze is yellow and on the base its stamped RED WING USA M-1518. No Cracks or chips. Cathy

It’s a bowl designed by Charles Murphy, from around 1955. The glaze is called fleck nile blue, very popular, and done for many years. Value is around 25.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose
