Red Wing 8 gallon double birch leaf crock
Question:
I’m trying to find a value and if it’s a little rare,on my Red Wing 8 Gallon 2 Birch Leaf Crock,it has applied stoneware style handles, not wire and wood handles. And it is marked with 8,two birch leaves and 2 1/2"oval with,Union Stoneware Co,Red Wing,MINN(all in blue). It has no hairlines or cracks, and is very clean(real nice one)with one close to a quarter size chip in the very back bottom, thin old chip. The reason I’m asking,I’ve looked in all my books and can’t find that size in the Birch Leaves, and I couldn’t find it on a internet search, and this site kept popping up in my searches.I would appreciate any information you have on this item.I didn’t include a picture, because I believe I described it well and accurate. Thank you,James T.

Fruit or Salad Set – salad bowl and plates
Question:
I have what I assume is a salad bowl and 4 plates. The bowl is 12 1/2 in. diameter and the plates are 8 1/2 ins. The bowl and plates have fluted edges. The bowl is decorated with a pear, apple, cherries and grapes and each plate has a painting of one of these. All pieces have the Red Wing stamp and are handpainted. This is an old set from my Mother who purchased it somewhere in MN. It is in mint condition as it has probably been used only 2 or 3 times in the past 40 or 50 yrs. It this a colectors item and what is the worth ? Carol

Water Cooler Spigot sources
Question:
I am looking for old or even newer spigot for several water juggs. Rob Mathias (good friend of mine) told me to talk with the fellow at Larry’s Juggs. But the site sends me here. Is there anywhere I can get some old or new either: ceramic, porceilin (however), brass or chrome spigots for a water jug? Are the holes standard on most water jugs? Thanking you in advance, Doug

Red Wing 674 Chromoline shape, steroline, hyacinth glaze
Question:
Hello, I have a purple vase with Red Wing U.S.A 674 on the bottom. It is in excellent condition. It’s 10" tall & 5" across the top. I was wondering what you could tell me about it. Thank you. Karen
Answer: Hi Karen
this is a chromoline shape, from 1960. But with this glaze it’s called stereoline. Hyacinth is the claze color. Value is around 50.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose
