Question:
Seeking aprox. age and value of a LARGE red wing crock. GREAT conditon. Stands about 2 ft. high. 1 1/2ft. across. Perfect ornate blue 4 on front. Below that perfect red wing symbol. Below that perfect blue oval stamp saying name of company red wing minn. ect. Great condition. Light beigh to cream in color. No cover. Only 2 very slight not quite a chip on the very bottom edge when turned over. Tiny and like just a tiny slice off in maybe 1/8 to 1/4 inch in size. My mom collected and has been gone for 22 years. My Dad at 98 years young passed this year and we are just going thru the cellar : )….No clue for sure of age but, its old as my mom collected. Did not purchase new. Can you give any advice of age, value, rarity, info of any kind? We want to keep it most likely as its something nice to represent her collection but, really wonder about it. Thanks in advance. I could send a photo if needed. I dont have one now but, could do that. Thanks, Denise

10 and 5 gallon crocks

Question:
I found two pieces of red wing stoneware at my parents house. A 10 and a 5 gallon (i guess) buckets or crocks? I guess my grandparents used to make sauerkraut in the days. They are in excellent condition dated back to 1915 (according to the Red Wing stamp)on the stoneware. They do not have lids. There cylinder shaped with two handles. The handles are metal and go into a premade hole on each side for carrying the stoneware around. there pretty heavy. Any idea what i’m looking at? Are these collectible items? Thanks Mike

15 gallon Red Wing Crock

Question:
Hi Al, Can you please tell me the approximate year this 15 gallon was made and it’s value? The only damage is a small chip on the handle (see separate picture). Also, the stamping is not center with the handles. They are off to the left a little. Does this affect the value of the crock? Thanks, Chris
