Minnesota Stoneware Company salt glazed 1 gallon crock that is bottom signed, with droppings
Question:
I have found a very unique piece again and I need help in figuring out what it is. I can only hope it’s like the last one I came across a couple of months ago. It’s 8 and 1/4 inch tall salt glazed crock with the raised stamp on the bottom reading MInnesota Stoneware co Redwing Minn. across the top it measures about 7 3/4 inches across. The very weird thing about this piece is the black or dark blue drop of (whatever) in the middle of the jug with a small drip line. I have attached picture for your convenience. My grandmother gave me a vase type item and said it was special. It is a yellow piece that says red wing on the bottom with the numbers 892 I think….its yellow and sort of looks like a fan shell vase. Can u tell me anything about it or its worth….it almost got tossed in garbage….but I thought I would try to see about it. Thank you very much. Sara
