5 gallon Red Wing Crock no oval or handles

Question:
Hello Al, I have a crock which I think is a "Red Wing" it has a red wing in blue and the #5 in red, however it does not have the "Red Wing Union Stoneware Co." signature below. It it is glazed, and has 1 tiny hairline crack on one of the sides of it. Is this a Red Wing? And if so how much might it be worth? Thank you. Rebecca

Hamms Bear

most of the Hamm’s bears sell for around 300.00 or so. there are a few variations, brown, for example. condition and paint loss will also vary the selling price. thanks, steve n rose

Orleans pieces: candle holders, pitcher and casserole

The following Orleans pieces were donated to our non-profit store and we’d appreciated an estimate of their current value. All are in excellent condition except one candlestick holder has two small chips on its top rim. 4 or 5 gallon red wing water cooler

Question:
I have a 4 or 5 gallon red wing water cooler, I believe its a 5 not sure. It does have some cracks in it and it leaks out of the spicket. How much would this be worth? Lynn

 

Answer: Lynn, Most of the hand turned water coolers had the gallon number stamped in the bottom. With a crack the value may be around $200.  Jeff

I have crock type pottery pedestal bowl, 11" in dia. and pedestal is 4 & 3/4" in dia. and the height is 3 and 3/8 inches. No markings except from those created by the firing process on sides of bowl. Red Wing is shallowly incised on bottom and the glaze nearly obscures the mark so I have written it on paper underneath the actual mark. Is it Red Wing and what is the worth? Karen

Answer: Karen,  Red Wing did make these bowls. Value would be between $40 and $50. Jeff

I just bought a RED WING stoneware (crock type clay and glaze)bowl at a thrift shop.
It is: 11" in outside diameter
Pedistal= 4 and 3/4 inches in diameter
Height= 3 and 3/8 inches
Red Wing is shallowly impressed on base and the glaze
nearly obscures it.
