Hello. I have a ceramic pottery piece that is about five gallons in size with wire/wooden dowel handles. I use it to soak cucumbers in for pickles. It has the redwing stamp on it and has a big 12 stamped on the front. It also has a stamp that reads patent 1915. Any idea what it is worth. There is no lid. The top is open. It is in extremely good shape and i got it from my grandfather. Any info would help. Thanks. Matt

Pepe set
Question:
I have a nearly complete set of Pepe (1962) dinnerware (58 pc) and 8 serving pieces (large platter, medium platter, divided elongated bowl, medium serving bowl, large salad bowl, tall pitcher and creamer/sugar with cover)that I would like to sell. There are 12 pieces of the dinner plate, salad plate, cereal/soup bowl and saucers for cups. There are 10 cups (2 have small chips on the bottom edge). All of the other dishes and serving pieces are in excellent condition. Is there a market for these dishes? What is the best way to sell them? What might I expect to get for them? Is it best to sell the servings dishes separately? Thanks for any help you can give me. Jan

Red Wing hot water bottle or (foot warmer)
Question:
I found the jug pictured below at my mothers and know nothing about it. I can’t seem to find anything on the web to tell me even what it was used for let alone what it might be worth. The label on the bottom says Union Stoneware Co Red Wing so it appears to have been made between 1906-1936. It is approx 11" tall and 6" in diameter. The top has threads and appears to be metal. Any information you can give me would be great. I can provide more pictures if necessary. Gordon

At any rate lets try "plan B". The item is identical to the 2 gallon Minnesota crock on page 50 of RED WING STONEWARE DePasquale et al. THE DIFFERENCE IS THE ONE I HAVE HAS THE UNION MARK IN THE OVAL, otherwise identical. VALUE? THANKS Chuck
