Question:
I sent in a question about a week ago… didn’t see an answer, I was having trouble attaching a photo. It would be helpful if answers are dated… of 8,000 answers, I went back about 100. At any rate lets try "plan B". The item is identical to the 2 gallon Minnesota crock on page 50 of RED WING STONEWARE DePasquale et al. THE DIFFERENCE IS THE ONE I HAVE HAS THE UNION MARK IN THE OVAL, otherwise identical. VALUE? THANKS Chuck
Answer: Chuck, I do remember your question, but just don’t remember if we had further questions on the piece or not. Either way, we are here on plan B. Your 2 gallon birch-leaf crock would have been produced by the Minnesota Stoneware Company. The bad news is that it has the most common oval and therefore the value is much lower than the one you seen on page 50 which had a Minnesota oval. Value for you piece in perfect condition is $$60 to $75. Al Kohlman
