Red Wing 797, 899 or 892

Question:
I found a couple pieces labeled Red Wing while cleaning out my mothers garage and I am wondering what the story and value is behind them. Two of the pieces (in the first picture) are labeled on the bottom REDWING USA 797 (ORANGE VASE) and the other is RED WING USA 899 OR 892, it’s hard to tell (FAN VASE). The other two pieces in the second picture do not have any labels on the bottom except USA but they were in the same box labeled RED WING, so I thought I’d give it a shot. Thank you for you help, I look forward to hearing back from you!

Answer: Hello

the pink fan vase, #892, was designed in 1939, and made for many years, a very popular shape. Value around 30.00 or so. The tall orange one, #797 is from the prismatique line, circa 1962. Value is around 90.00 or so on that one.

The other two I don’t think are Red Wing, the shapes aren’t familiar to me. Hope this helps, thanks, steve n rose

Follow up on the 1965 All Star Home Plate

Question:
Hello, I originally asked about imformation about a 1965 MN Twin American League Championship Home Plate commemorative. The reply was helpful. However, the expert mentioned a book value, what is this book they speak of. Are there records of this run of plate? How is it exactly catigorized? (so I can affectively describe it to others) I really want as much imformation about this as I can get. I’ve been Googleing it and finding almost nothing. Even the Twins promotion office is of no help tracking past promos or pointing me in the right direction. I’m sorry if I’ve pressed this item so far, I’m just very excited about this piece, it represents a great deal to me. Thanks Ken

ANSWER: It’s listed in the Red Wing Collectibles book, more of a stoneware book, but it’s in that one. It is seen every so often, a nice item, but I wouldn’t go so far as to use the "rare" word on it. Hope this helps a little more. thanks, steve n rose
