Red WIng M1610-10 flower pot

Question:
Would like to know the value of a pink speckled flower pot. Red Wing USA M-1610-10 1/2 is marked on the bottom. It is 9 inches high, 10 1/2 inches across the top and 5 1/4 inches across the bottom. It came to us in a gold metal plant stand that brings it 7 1/2 inches off the floor, but we are not sure whether that originally came with the flower pot.

Answer: Hello, your flower pot is from the mid fifties, with the fleck glaze. This form came in many different sizes, and they did come with a very plain metal stand for the larger ones. Value of both, around 55.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose

Red Wing 1303 bowl

Question:
I have a bowl/vase with the marking Red Wing USA, #1303. The condition is perfect, no chips, cracks, or crazing. It is four inches high and 5.5 inches across at the rim, the base is two and one-eighth inces across. The interior glaze is a mottled to very dark brown and the exterior glaze is a yellow green. The outer surface is impressed with offset rows of a kind of rice grain imprint, starting at the bottom about one quarter inch high and each row getting a little higher until at the top the imprints are almost five- eights of an inch. It has been in our family from at least 1948. I have always thought it has a bit of an oriental look to it. Any info you can provide me with is greatly appreciated. Thanks, John

Answer: Hi John, it was designed in 1947, so your dates are correct. Part of the art pottery line. Think the galze is chartreuse/bronze lined. Value is 35.00. thanks, steve n rose

Red Wing 20012 wave without tropicana relief

Question:
I have a vase bottom mark Red Wing USA and 2001, color Pink Zephyr Fleck inside and out. I have most every Red Wing identification book in print. I find B2001 in the Tropicana line in the books but no 2001. The vase is the same shape and size as B2001 but without the Tropicana relief on the front. Any information available would be appreciated.

Answer : I don’t have a real answer, it could be a redone shape, the fleck glazes are slightly older than Tropicana. I don’t have a listing for 2001 either, Murphy did a hobnail ashtray with that number, but it’s not a vase form. I did just find a similiar form, but it’s marked 2003, and is plain, no decoration like Tropicana. Value is around 30.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose
