Magnolia Line 976 vase

Question:
What is the value and age of this vase? It is marked Red Wing USA 976. The color is cream and I think the flowers are Dogwood. It is approx 10" tall and very heavy. Also, it needs cleaning. What should I use? Thank you- Linda

Answer: Hi Linda

Your vase is part of the Magnolia group, from 1940. The glaze is called antique ivory. You can give it a good scrubbing, dish soap will work, even something stronger, if there are some lime deposits on it. Value is around 90.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose

Driftwood Casserole with cover

Question:

My mother died in 1963 so the bowl was given to my grandma more than likely before 1960. I was born in 1957. When my grandma passed away, my aunt gave me the bowl. I have been trying to find out information on the bowl and Red Wing. I have a couple pictures of it so you can see what it looks like. on the bottom of it there is no number, just Red Wing USA If you could tell me more about the bowl–did it come with a dinner set or what. I think it is a very beautiful bowl and it is in perfect condition. I have taken several pictures of it so you get a good idea of it. Martha
