3 gallon crock, salt glaze

Question:
My daughter was looking on the internet for information on crocks and came across your website. I have a crock that she thinks is a Red Wing crock. It is 10 1/2" deep, 10 1/2" across the top. The color is a tan with flecks of blue or brown all through it. The design on the front is blue and looks like a 3 with swirls below. There is some kind of black/blue drips of somethin on the front of it. It has handles on both sides. The inside is brown glazed. There are a few cracks on the sides. I bought this at a garage sale and paid $5 for it. Can you give me any information on this? Thank you Diane

Stoneware pitcher with grapes cluster with rickrack

Question:
I have a pitcher that has been in my husband’s family forever. It has a dark brown glaze with a grapes and vine pattern over waffle-like squares and rickrack trim on top and bottom. It’s 9 1/4" tall with a handle. It’s in great condition except it has a few spots where it looks like the glaze was thin or had a bubble and you can see the pottery now (see lower front in photo). Oh, and there is a star impressed on the bottom. Any info on this pitcher is appreciated. Thank you, Sandee

Growing up we enjoyed the beauty of these dishes and were always impressed by the pitchers. Thank you. Jill

Round Up Follow up on markings

Question:
Hi, again. I emailed a question about an hour ago regarding my dinnerware. After reading previously answered questions, I see that my questions had been anwered already regarding the value of my dinnerware which are apparently ALL round-up (dinner plates have picture of chuck wagon and all other peices have some one cooking or sitting on a fence.) I was curious about the difference in the stamps in this series. I had only one with an actual depiction of red wings along with the words Red Wing while the others were all stamped without the wings – only words. This has been a very informative site and I have enjoyed seeing the wide variety of Red Wing collections. I love the little hostess tea pots. I can see why there is so much excitement in the collecting there of. Thanks for the service you provide. ~Becky

Round Up Collection

Question:
About 15 years ago, my aunt gave me a set of dinnerware which we have been casually using since then. Today, I just happened to be curious about them and discovered they are Red Wing Round Up. I have 7 11" Round up dinner plates (1 with small chip) numbered 121; all the rest are chuck wagon: 4 8" salad plates numbered 139; 1 6 1/2" saucer #32; one cup no #; 1 6 1/2" Bread plate(?) with a red-winged stamped #33L (I think)it also is thinner than the others with more brown specks; 4 6 1/2" Bread plate(?) #211; 3 small bowls #131; 2 tall salt & pepper shakers; a large platter; relish tray and a small one handle caserole with a little lip/spout & lid; a two handled small casserole with lid. (unfortunately, one handle is broken).I also have a tall lid 3 3/4" tall X 3" wide but not sure what it went to. Except where mentioned, there are no chips or cracks. With that discription, any idea of worth? I can send pictures if you are interested.

See the above question she found her answers, but the next question wants to know about the markings. I thought you would want to see that she did search.

Question:
I have a Redwing Crock that has the number 6 stamped on it with a 4” wing. It also has the Patented stamp on the side dated Dec 21, 1915. This piece has the original lid for it with the 5 and 6 stamped on the top, also has the original handles for the crock. There are no cracks or chips on it. This piece is in excellent shape and condition. I was wondering how much you thought that this would be worth. I have enclosed a picture to show you the shape and structure that it is in. Thank you Billi Jo
