Red Wing 1216 and 723
Question:
I recently picked up two pieces of Red Wing that I would like to know time period, desirability and possible value: The first is a vase numbered 1216. It is approximately 8" tall. It appears to be the magnolia pattern but the flower is not open like most and actually looks more like a rose from the side. The other piece has a lid, is numbered 723-S, is 7" tall to the top of the lid, and is solid green in color. I believe they call these jolly jars. The book I have showed it in mosaic and does not mention the green. Thank you for any information you may provide on these two items.
Answer: Hello, the 1216 is part of the Magnolia group, circa 1946. Value is around 55.00. The "jolly jar" has 3 distinct patterns, not green. It may be an aftermarket piece. Value? aroudn 25.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose

this is shape #133, it doesn’t have a particular name, but part of the Brushed Ware line circa 1931. It came in 3 sizes with this being the largest. Value is around 120.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose
Console bowl 1348
Question:
Hello again, Could you tell me more about this RW piece? I have seen some call it a console bowl/dish and others call it a planter. The exterior is white and the interior is light green. It measures ~12"x~7.5"x2". The bottom reads RED WING USA 1348. It has a little bit of crazing on the bottom and some bubbles in the glaze inside. Thanks ahead for any information you can give me as far as color names, date, and value! Kristi
Answer: Hi Kristi, this is a console bowl, from around 1948. Eggshell ivory/luster green is the glaze. There are a pair of similar candleholders. Value is around 20.00 thanks, steven rose
Red Wing 220 pitcher
Question:
Hello, I acquired this pitcher recently and would like to know more about it. I saw a similar one on eBay that was yellow, but that seller didn’t know anything other than what the bottom read either. It is about 10.5" tall. The handle looks like a dragon-like creatue. The outside is a light brown color and the inside is a glossy avocado green. The bottom reads RED WING USA 220. I see no chips, cracks, crazing, etc. Any information about date and value would be appreciated.

5 Gallon Red Wing Union Stoneware Watercooler

I have a 5 gallon Red Wing Pottery Water Container with a fountain type spout, metal stand, with a lower shelf for a galvanized bucket used in a school house in South Dakota many years prior to 1953 when I obtained it. It has the standard Red Wing markings; ie: 5 gal, Water Cooler, Red Wing Union Stoneware, Red Wing, Minn. If you need a picture I can send one later. It is in almost perfect condition. Red Wing Canteen?

Hello, I found this Red Wing Canteen at a local store and was hopeing to learn some back ground on it and a value. It’s about 5 1/4" wide( including small handles) and about 5 1/2" Tall. The back is marked with blue stamp- RED WING STONEWARE CO. RED WING, MN. The front is stamped with a "red wing".
