Question:
I have a 5 gallon Red Wing Pottery Water Container with a fountain type spout, metal stand, with a lower shelf for a galvanized bucket used in a school house in South Dakota many years prior to 1953 when I obtained it. It has the standard Red Wing markings; ie: 5 gal, Water Cooler, Red Wing Union Stoneware, Red Wing, Minn. If you need a picture I can send one later. It is in almost perfect condition. Thank you, Laurene
Answer: Laurene, I have a couple of questions regarding your Red Wing water cooler. How long is the red wing & does it have a lid? If it does have a lid and it has a 2" wing, then the value is close to $600 in mint condition. If it has no lid, then $250 to $300 for just the cooler and spigot. If it has the 4 1/2" wing and lid, your value is close to $700. No lid, with the spigot and mint condition, then your cooler has a value around $400. Hope this helps. Al Kohlman
