Question:
From my Mother I inherited 2 pieces that she used all of her married life.
1. a 6 gallon butter churn with a glaze like the picture on the left. It has a lid with a few chipped places and the wooden dasher goes through the hole in the center of the lid. On the front there is a large 6, below that a red wing, and below that an oval that says Red Wing Union Stoneware Co Red Wing Minn.
2. a 3 gallon crock, no lid, same looking glaze, and the front of the crock says: 3 Imperial Medalta Potteries Ltd. Medicine Hat Alberta

Hi. I recently purchased this crock jar. I believe it is a wax sealer. Could this possibly be a North Star piece? It looks almost identical to one I found in an old RW book. I’m not absolutely positive but it looks like there might be a star on the bottom. It is 7 1/2 inches tall and 19 inches in circumference and I paid $25 for it. Can you tell me a value on it and if it is NS or Red Wing? Thanks for your assist. Gary
