I have a 6 gallon water cooler with spigot, and lid. It has the 4" wing, but there is a pretty big chip in the lid. The rest is in pretty nice shape with 1 minor hairline crack by the rim about 2" long. Is this piece worth much more with the lid ? How much is it worth overall? Thanks, Tim.

Answer: Tim, the chip in your 6 gallon Red Wing water cooler lid hurts it’s value quite a bid. Normally this lid if perfect would fetch between $350 to $375. With the large chip, maybe $50. As with the chip in the lid, the 2 inch hairline in the water cooler hurts as well as today’s collectors are looking for perfect pieces. A 6 gallon Red Wing water cooler with a 2 inch hairline would have a value between $175 & $250. Al Kohlman
