Question:
can you tell me what i have here it stands 7" tall and is 6" wide at the base minnesota stoneware co on bottom . Tom

Answer: Tom, you have a Minnesota Stoneware Company wax sealer. These were the early canning jars of yesteryear. A wax sealer had a small metal lid and when the jar was filled with preserves or other items that would be canned, the lid was placed on top of the jar and melted wax was poured over the lid to seal in the items. When the glass fruit jars came along, these wax sealers became a thing of the pass. I am guessing yours to be about a gallon in size. Value today in mint condition is $40 to $50. Al Kohlman
