Hi Al, I submitted this a couple of weeks back and have not heard anything unless I missed it. What the heck is this that I have now come across??? It is bottom stamped and it has some weird mark on the front and you can see in the picture it looks to be about 1 gallon, salt glazed with the Minnesota stoneware stamp. what is it and what is the value? thank you!!!

Hello! For some backstory, I do handyman-type work for a friend from church (retired, disabled firefighter) and just noticed this big crock that’s been sitting in the back of his shop, half-filled with dirt and two shovels. My girlfriend told me old pottery in that style could be worth something so I snapped a couple of pictures and just remembered to Google the markings. Without further ado, the crock is about 2 1/2 ft tall, diameter of maybe a foot. The glazing is in pretty good condition, the Red Wing trademark is faded and so is the manufacturer markings. Answer: The crock is a salt glazed butter crock made in the late 1800. Value would be about $65 if it is bottom signed.

I found a piece of Redwing pottery while cleaning out an estate-could you tell me a little about this piece? It is in excellent condition except for one chip on the bottom base-it says Red Wing USA very lightly on the bottom- There are also two candle stick holders that match this pattern but they are cracked and one is missing a piece-Thanks for all your help Allison

I have found this dog and am wondering what the value of it would be and if its even redwing? I looks to me that it is identical to a dog in "Redwing Potters and Their Wares" page 13. It is glazed with a heavy albany slip. Any info will help. Its the bigger one in the picture. Thanks Drew
