Question:
I found a beauty of a dark brown/black clay vase stuffed into the rafters of my father’s garage that dates back to the early 1900s. It stands 8 inches high and is about five inches in diameter at its base. Stamped beneath it is: Red Wing USA M-5001. What are you able to share with me about the manufactuer, date it was made, its rough worth (it has a few tiny chips at its top. Hereis my vase that reads Red Wing USA M5001. Can you tell me more about it and what it is worth? Dan

I have a large vase the I found in a relative’s barn. she collected a lot of early American pottery and this is the last piece in the collection that I have. I have been trying to identify it for years and came up with nothing. It has a rough texture like stucco on the outside. It is very uneven and looks to be hand made. It has two lion’s head handles on it, and an 11a marked on the bottom. Any information would help. The closest vase I found like this was at the 2002 Wisconsin pottery show web site. Adam
I have a small redwing clam shaped bowl the markings on the bottom look to be B1399, I was wondering the value of the piece and best way to get it to a red wing collector so it can be properly appreciated. It is a blueish gray color on the inside and beautiful pink that realistically mimics the color of conch shell on the inside. The piece is 5 inches tall and its 2 1/2" wide I dont know anything about pottery it looks in great condition to me no chips and cracking of the glaze Chris
I bought this Magnolia series vase at an auction. On the bottom is written, "1317 Red Wing USA". It is approximately 10 1/2" tall and 4" in diameter. Please tell me what year it was made and it’s current worth. Thanks, Ann
I need help identifying this piece of pottery. I hope this is indeed Red Wing and not a fake. I cannot find this anywhere on the web. The base measures 4" tall, overall with the lid measures 7 1/4" tall. On the bottom it reads RED WING USA 671. It is in excellent condition with one small chip on the bottom. Colors are vivid and bright. Any information you can give me would be much appreciated. I found this at an estate sale for very little money so hope its the real thing. Thanks so much. Kevin
What would be the value of a Red Wing #430 in excellent condition? Thanks Norman
