Question:
I have a 12 1/2" diameter piece of Red Wing that I have not been able to identify. The 5 sections are approx 1 1/4" deep, total height approx 1 1/2". The center section is round. It is charcoal to black color. The glaze is a somewhat dull finish. It is marked on bottom with indented print. Red Wing….(second line) USA…and under that 446. It does have the 3 kiln marks. I would say it is in excellent condition. No grazing, chips, cracks etc. Any information on this piece would be appreciated.
Answer: Hi, this is listed as an art pottery item, all tho it really is a nut or chip & dip dish. It dates from circa 1964. The glaze is Black, no creativity in the name this time. Value is around 25.00. thanks, steve n rose

HI I HAVE A 8" TORQUIOSE FLOWER VASE THAT HAS NO CHIPS CRACK OR OTHERWISE DAMAGED. IT IS REALY A ATTRACTIVE PEICE, HOWEVER I DONOT KNOW WHAT I HAVE OR WHAT IT IS WORTH. I AM CONCIDERING GIVING IT AS A GIFT BUT IT COMES FROM GRANDMOTHER AND I WANT TO GIVE IT TO SISTER. WHAT DO I HAVE?
I have a set of 5 small chicks. They are all glazed in different colors. The markings are odd and I am almost certain that there are numbers on them although very very faint. I am thinking maybe these were samples of colors? One is distinctly marked R Wing. I appreciate your expert opinions. The pieces are WHITE underglazed but one of them does show the clay coloring to be a light brownish/beige color. Thanks! Theresa
Hi! Could you give me information about this vase please. It is approx. 9 3/4" tall and 6 3/4" wide at the top, light blue in color on the outside (all white on the inside) with two little "fins" on its side. The bottom of the vase says REDWING USA with the numbers 884 or 881 (not sure) above the writing. It has no cracks or chips visible on it. Thank You! Ron
