I just bought a beautiful Red-Wing vase at a garage sale. It is 9" high, creamy peach/pink on the outside and a crackled cream on the inside. On the bottom Red-Wing is two words with the hypen between. U.S.A. with a period after the U and the A is underneath the words Red-Wing. It’s numbered 1171 It has a small chip on the very top. Other than that it is in excellent condition. Do you have any clue as to what it’s value is? I would like to use it as a flower vase if it’s not worth too much. Thank You, Mary A. Holland MI

Hi Mary, If you like it, keep it! Holding flowers are their main purpose. It is a fairly common vase, and the chip will hurt it’s value. thanks, steve n rose

I just purchased an advertising bulb bowl in brushware at the convention. Can you give me additional information on advertising brushware. I talked to some brushware collectors who said many florists featured advertising brushware. I had never seen it. Any information would be appreciated. Wendy

We have seen a few brushware peices with advertising, but they are hard to find. The Schleich Red Wing Museum has a bulb bowl with advertising from Neenah WI. This is an area that has little information at this time. Thanks SteveNRose

I am trying to find information on a Red Wing brushed ware Funeral Urn. The peice is about 7" tall and is green in color. I am trying to locate one.

Red Wing did make a cemetary pot, vase shaped, in brushware, about 6 1/2" tall with a place to inscribe the loved one in ink. Ebay would be your best bet to try to find one. Thanks SteveNRose

Hi, I am writing to discover if the piece I have is actually Red Wing…..The signature in the bottom is plain and simple. There are 3 marks that when connected would form a triangle…..as follows..

It is a rectangular piec, painted gray inside and a rose pink with brown speckles on the ouside. The edges are pleated.. It stands 3.5\" is 10′ wide at the top and 8.5 at the base. There is no ovle Red Wing stiker or mark…justthe printing.

You have a planter first introduced in the late 1940′s, The glaze discription sounds like Zephyr Pink with light gray interior. The glaze was first used in the 1950′s. Value is approximatly $25.00 Thanks SteveNRose

What you have is Saffron Ware, yellowish glazed item. Saffron Ware did not come with a red lid. We need a size and shape discription in order to give you more information. Thanks SteveNRose

Here is a picture of a Brushed Ware Umbrella Stand I just found at an Illinois Estate. It measures 21 1/2 inch high. Please let me know the value and if RRP Co also used this mold. Thanks Marijke

We only received a picture of the bottom of the umbrella stand. We need another picture of the design, as RRP and Red Wing made simular pieces as you already know. We believe you to be correct about RRP as the maker. To our knowledge Red Wing did not make an umbrella stand with the poppy design. They usually sell for around $150.

I just got a red wing piece and was interested in what it may be price at the number on the bottum is 1151 and it is light green. I have never seen one like this before. Thanks Krystal

The 1151 is a Charles Murphy design from 1942, The glaze is probably elphin green. He made a small number of raised design peices in this time frame. The value is around $70. Steve N Rose
