Hi Wanda, The bowl is shape #526, and the deer frog is #531. The candle holders are most likely #529. They were made in the late 30′s-early fourties. The glaze is antique ivory. The set is worth around $100.00 or so. Thanks, steve n rose

Hi Jane, You are correct with the glaze. Crackle Turquoise W/Bronze, listed as a special glaze. The design was introduced in 1947, by Charles Mruphy, I believe. It’s value would be about $80.00. I have a vase that has Redwing stamped on the bottom with the number 975. The vase is 6" tall and 5" wide. It is a cream color and is free of any chips. It has what appears to be a magnolia bloom on it the same color as the vase. Can you give me an idea of the value? Thank you.

I found a Red Wing piece which is numbered (1348). I was wondering about an approximate value it may have. It is in rather good condition but has some superficial fine cracks inside the piece.

I didn’t know anything about Red Wing till today and I’m fasinated by the history.

Janet, you have a low bowl, circa late 1940′s. Worth around 15-20. A fairly common shape. Red Wing has something for everyone–stoneware, dinnerware, and art pottery. A multitude of shapes and colors most people aren’t familiar with. Thanks, steve n rose

Question:
We discovered a five piece Red Wing Art Pottery condiment set (?) with the stickers still on all the pieces. It was a wedding gift in 1951. The four curved outer pieces are #1381, and the round inner bowl is #1380. In addition, we found a red wing stamped 75th Anniversary 1858-1953. It also appears to be brand new. Both items have been packed away for many, many years. Could you please help us with approximate value, and how we would go about selling the pieces to interested collectors. I would hate to see them just get lumped together with other pottery in an auction. Thanks for your help, Doug

Hi Doug, The five piece set should bring around 70-80, lots of times a piece is missing. Red Wing did several pieces for the 75th anniversary, so I would need more info on that. Ebay is usually the best bet to sell, lots of our collectors watch it on a regualr basis. If it is a family piece I would keep it. Have you ever seen or heard of any rumrill items marked RUMMRILL (with 2 M’s) instead of just one? I have an ice pitcher with this misspelling and the number 547.
