Question:
Hi, these two Red Wing crocks have been in my family for many years. I\’m not looking to sell them, but am interested in their value. As you can see, the 10 gal. crock has the patent date of Dec.21,1915. The handles are original. The 8 gal. crock has no patent date or handles. The wings on both crocks are 4 inches. They are also both in great shape with no chips or cracks. Unfortunatly, I do not have the lids for either of them. I would really appreciate any insight into their value. Sincerely, Craig Cull

Answer: Craig, I do not have a photo of your Red Wing 10 gallon crock, however, I can tell you that you have a 6" wing on your 8 gallon crock. When you measure the size of the wings, measure them from their longest points. If the size of the wing on your 10 gallon crock is the same as the 8, then you have the 6 inch wings. The 6 inch wings are valued higher than the 4 1/2" wings. If your 8 gallon is indeed mint and from the looks of it, I would place the value at $200. You 10 gallon would be in the same range. Nice looking 8! Al Kohlman
