Question:
I have a 6 gallon butter churn, includes lid and dasher. I have been searching to establish a value of this piece and have been unsuccessful. It has one hairline crack but all and all it is in good condition I have enclosed several pictures for your assistance. http://i54.tinypic.com/5ogg7l.jpg http://i52.tinypic.com/26068bc.jpg http://i53.tinypic.com/v3lmr5.jpg http://i55.tinypic.com/n181hy.jpg

Please let me know if the crock in the attached picture has any value and when it might have been manufactured. It measures 8-1/2" high x 8" across the mouth. On the side it is marked "White’s Pottery Works Fort Dodge Iowa. It is in very good condition – no cracks, only minor chips in the glaze. Thank you. Nina

8 Gallon Elephant Ear Crock I bought a red wing 8 gallon Elephant Ear Crock at an auction this summer in MN and would like to know how much it is worth as I paid $90. I don;t see these much and was so excited to get it. There are no chips, cracks etc. It’s perfect except the 8 was smudged a little when made. You can see it on the photo if you look close. I just love Red Wing! Thanks for your expert opinion! Kathy
