5 gallon brown top jug

Question:
5 gallon Western Stoneware whisky jug. Brown top, tan bottom with handle. Great condition, one small chip by the handle base. I understand it’s not red wing at least to my knowledege, but I dont know who to ask. I know nothing about glaze or anything or how you can even tell. All I know it’s heavy and has a logo on it and everyone that see’s this stops with amazment. Wondering about the peice, where it came from, how much if any is it worth and so on. Thanks alot for your time Jamie

5 gallon ball lock jar

Question:
We have a redwing crock selling at public auction on August 29, 2010 in Baker, Montana . I have been doing auctions a long time and have never run into a crock such as this. It does have a crack in the lid and a few chips around the outside but nothing major. Just curious about this piece and what its purpose was. If its something collectors would like. Thank you in advance. JK

Red Wing 1 gallon Safety Valve, May 21, 1886

Question:
This jug is 7" across the bottom, 8" high, and 6" across the top. It’s in excellent condition, I’m not sure how old it is, or if it’s worth anything to a collector. There is a stamp on the side which is hard to read, but I think it says: Safety Valve May 21, 1886 Tracey

Red Wing Butter Churn Lids, Minnesota Stoneware

Question:
Hi Al, Can you tell me if this is indeed a Red Wing butter churn lid? It came with my 4 gallon churn. From the top it appears the same as my other churn lids with the tapered style, but the underside has extra molding around the dasher hole. The undersides of my other Red Wing lids have a concave style that runs all the way to the hole. There is a "4" embossed on the top. Did Red Wing make different variations of churn lids? Thanks, Chris

Blossom Time yellow

Question:
Hello, I recently purchased a dinnerware lot of Red Wing Blossom Time in yellow. From what I have read, they either did not produce this long or there wasn’t much demand for this color. I would like to resell these but at a fair price, all pieces are in good to excellent condition, this consists of:
9 Dinner plates
8 Lunch/Salad plates
14 Bread/Butter plates
7 Soup bowls
1 Cereal bowl
4 Berry bowls
8 Cup/Saucer sets
Cream & Sugar w/lid
Butter dish
Gravy Boat
1 Platter
1 3-section Relish/Serving dish

Again, I would like to move these so I am not looking to sell at list prices. Thanks in advance for your help! =) Sammy
