Round Up and Chuck Wagon Collection

Question:
I have a "set" of Red Wing Pottery that I received from my mother. It’s made up of a combination of pieces from "Roundup" and "Chuck Wagon".

Including: 8 salad plates, 1 with small blemish, 1 that has been cracked and glued. The numbers are 223? chipped, 331? cracked, 213 or 218, 218, 228, 2x 319. 1 number is only half printed.

8 dinner plates in very good condition 3x 129, 5x 319.

3 serving dishes
10 cups, 1 cracked but not all the way through, I think, no numbers.
10 saucers, 2x 116, unknown, 2x probably 319 or 229, 4x 229, 319

If you send me an email I will reply with link to a folder on MyPictureTown that will have all the pictures made of the Red Wing pottery. I assume that the numbers are of the different painters that made the pieces. True? What’s the best place to sell these items? eBay? Or auction in a gallery somewhere? Can you point me to a gallery, I would guess that a gallery in MN would be best, but what do I know? Thank you very much, Max

Repair Question, 10 gallon

Question:
I saw the post about singsuper glue to repair a crack. My wife has a Redwing 10 gallon crock she got from her deceased granny. I wasn’t careful and dropped a log on it causing a large 4"x4" pie shaped piece to break off the bottom. Is super glue appropriate to reattach that? Thanks, Jim

Answer: I usually apply liquid Super Glue to the crack and apply a tourniquet to the crock for 24 hours. After the glue as dried (do not wipe Super Glue when wet or you will get a white film on your piece that is very hard to remove) I use a razor blade to remove any excess. Just make sure you read the label on the glue to make sure it does not affect any food you may process in your crock. Al Kohlman
