Question:Is my Monmouth art vase, which is about 22 inches tall and 26 inches diameter an early Monmouth piece? I bought this about 20 years ago from an art dealer in Missouri, and I paid $90 for it then, so I am really curious to have some background and current worth, if you would be so kind as to tell me your thoughts on this piece. Thank you for any help you can give me.
Sincerely,
Rebecca Jones rjj49@att.net or becci_mgr@hotmail.com

Question:
I have always had my eye on this pink rooster vase that my mother has. It has a 4" base, 6 and 1/2 wide across from the belly, while its 13 and 1/2 tall from the beak. I am curious on the background of it, the year it was made and course the value of it. I am absolutely in love with it and want to know as much as I can. Thanks so much!
Answer: HI, well, there are two, this one being the larger! The other is around 9" tall. The glaze is fleck zephyr pink, and it dates from the mid fifties. Shape # 1438. Value kind of depends, but have seen some go for 200.00 or more. thanks, steve n rose

Wheat Cookie Jar (stoneware)
Question:
I was given a cookie jar that is stamped Red Wing Art on the bottom. The cookie jar is round with the word COOKIES written on a diagonal. There is also a "wheat" pattern all the way around the jar. The glaze is a dark rust near the top and near the bottom with a tan color toward the center. The lid has a small chip on the inside rim. The jar on the other hand is in excellent condition. TThe jar dates back to the 1930′s I believe. Could you please provide more information on this piece and the current value of this cookie jar. Thank you, Deb
Deer and Console bowl, Dutch Girl Cookie Jar
Question:
3 items. an oval tureen with a raised area in center with sm. holes (for flowers?) with tall area and deer. A vase to match (cream in color). A Dutch looking girl on top of a green colored cookie jar looking item. I think they are from the 1940′s or earlier
Answer: Your first item sounds like the Deer and console bowl, a fairly easy peice to find. First introduced about 1938 The bowl is #526 and the Deer flower frog is #531 Because they are easy to find their value is about $60 for the set. The Dutch Girl Cookie jar can be found for about $100 to $125.
Red Wing 1216 and 860, Red Wing 5 Gallon Crock
Question:
I have 2 cream colored floral vases that I would love to know more about i think they are very old the # on the larger one is 1216 and the smaller one # is 860 also i have a #5 lg. crock with wooden handles on the side is DEO 21st. 1915 is that the date made? what is the value? thank you .
Answer: Your 1216 vase is from the Magnolia Group and came in at least 2 sizes, and was produced around 1946. Value is approximately $65. Your 860 vase if it has a raised tulip design is from around 1938 and has a value of about $65 or could be an ashtray from 1964 with a value of around $25
We will defer any values of crocks to the crock experts.
The Dec 21st 1915 date on the side of your Red Wing crock is a patent date for the handles. This is the date when Red Wing began applying handles to their crocks. Value on a 5 gallon Red Wing crock in mint condition will vary from a low of $60 to as high as $100. All depends on how large the wing, balanced the decorations and how dark and complete the decorations are. Al Kohlman
