Red Wing #410 Vase

Question:
I have a Red Wing vase with the number 410 on the bottom. Can you tell me something about it or the value, if any?

Answer: There are 2 different "410′s". One from 1938, more of a handled bowl with decorations that run around it. The other is from 1952, a vase shape with angualr feet. The earlier one is worth around 75.00 or so, the latter 30.00. thanks, steve n rose

Red Wing #1272, Dresser Box

Question:
This small box was my grandmother’s. I loved seeing it on her dresser, and asked her in approximately 1985 if I could have it. I don’t know the history, just that she had had it for a while. The green box is 4" by 3", has a leaf handle on the lid, and is marked with "Red Wing USA 1272" on the bottom. Thank you for any information on history and value that you can share.

Answer: Hi, your dresser box is from around 1946. the glaze is matt lily green. No particular line that it belongs to, but there were a few other box shapes made during this time. Value is around 50.00. thanks, steve n rose

Art Deco Piece

Question:
I was wondering if you would be able to or know who to consult about this particular early, possibly red wing rumrill, art deco nude handled vase. It stands 10 inches tall & 8 inches wide. I have attached a few pictures.

Answer: I don’t know who the maker is, it looks to be of the art nouveau style, early 1900′s. It seems to be made of plaster. the AAPA has a site that may give you some more information. thanks, steve n rose

question from: burtco10@aol.com

Question:
The last information I had on the new Publication by Turner Publication was it was going to send it out in October- I called them and they said that it will not be published until January-

Unless I missed a note in the newsletter it would be greately appreciated if you would keep up informed on the status since the RWCS is the reason for the delay–

I know what you are doing but not letting it’s members knowthe status is wrong.

Is January a realistice publishing date?
