The 2008 Display room was packed with a number of spectacular members displays from stoneware to art pottery.
Congratulations to those members who created such wonderful displays this year.
Special Thanks to Glenn Beall who has passed the management of the Display room in 2009 to his daughter Laura Beall after being elected as Education Manager for the RWCS.
For those members who are interested in display next year and your chance to win the 2009 special commemorative please watch for information in the February 2009 issue of the RWCS Newsletter.

Sunday Outdoor Antique Show
July 6, 2008 from Sunrise until 4pm
The annual RWCS Foundation Sunday Outdoor Antique Show is on. One 20 x 20 spot is only $50 and this fee is a tax deductible donation to the Foundation. If a 20×20 is just too big for you their are 10 x 20 spot for $25.
In addition to the space rental if you need to rent a table they are $10 each and chairs are $1. Contact Diane Hallstrom by, Wednesday, July 2nd to reserve a spot and request tables and chairs.

The 2008 Annual Convention Education Sessions for Friday, July, 11 is now available for download on the Event Page for the Convention!
Terry Speedy, Education Manager has put together a jam packed schedule of Education Sessions for Friday, July 11, with everything from Recent Dump Finds, Ebb Tide Dinnerware, Mini Jugs and Stoneware Mugs and so much more.
Guest Presenter: Leanne Knott, GIS Specialist,City of Red Wing, will be discussing the Red Wing Pottery District then and now. She will show photograhy on how the area has changed.
Also available is information on the two day Kids View Program on Thursday, July 10 and Friday, July 11 during the Convention.
Sue Jones Tagliapietra and Wendy Callicoat, Kids View Chairs, have created a very exciting schedule for kids attending Convention. In addition, to the Kids Only Auction and Make Your Own Stoneware the kids are going to become Red Wing Stoneware workers. They will recreating advertising, lunch hour, and special order pieces. Red Wing Pottery Museum announces Fundraiser
Wine & Cheese Tasting Fundraiser
for the Red Wing Pottery Museum

When: Wednesday, July 9, 8 pm to 10 pm
The RWCS Foundation has planned a Wine & Cheese Tasting Fundraiser for the Red Wing Pottery Museum.
Come and enjoy good food, friends and music on the evening of Wednesday, July of Convention Week to benefit the Red Wing Pottery Museum. Wine sampling and hors d’euvres will be served, a 4-piece band will provide the entertainment and some "one of a kind" items will be up for auction that evening and Dick Houghton has graciously offered to call the oral auction.
The admission for this event is your donation of a piece of stoneware, dinnerware or art pottery for the upcoming fundraising auction.
Red Wing Collectors Society Foundation’s Pottery Museum Fall Auction on Sunday, Oct. 19 at Grandpa’s Garage in Cannon Falls, Minn.
The RWCS Foundation would appreciate all donated pieces to be high quality, mint condition pieces with 100 percent of the auction proceeds going to the Red Wing Pottery Museum. Dick Houghton will again be auctioning off the items for free and Grandpa’s Garage has donated the venue for this fundraising event.
Indigo and the Bald Eagles have graciously donated their time and talents to play their Dixieland Jazz all evening as entertainment. The RWCS Foundation hopes to see you there!
