Chef Cookie Jar

2 Gallon Crock reverse

I found a 2 gallon crock that has a reverse label crock because misprint on the front of it,the oval and the 4 inch wing were put in the wrong order on the 2 gallon crock.the inside rim has a 1 inch chip nd 2 smaller chips. 6 gallon red wing churn with lid and dasher

Question:
I have a 6-gallon Red Wing butter churn that includes the lid and what I believe to be the original paddle given the wear pattern on it. The churn is marked with the blue number 6 along with the red wing below it and an oval stamp that reads Red Wing, Union Stoneware Co. Red Wing, Minn. This piece is in mint condition. Red Wing Figural #1144

This piece belonged to my Grandfather and now I have handed it down to my son. It is in excellent shape. I would love to know more about it.

Answer: Hi, this item is from circa 1942, designed by charles Murphy. There were around 6 or so different figurals. The glaze is called Engobe, bronze-tan. It is shape #1144, and has a value of 800.00 or so. Tell him to take good care of it!! thanks, steve n rose

Red WIng ash tray

Question:
Can you provide me with your appraisal or opinion of the attached item. It has a marking from Red Wing Potteries and is a "Red Wing" dish, approximately 7.5 length by 3.75 at the widest part. This item can from a box from my parents estate. These boxes hadn’t been open in over 25 years and came from my dad’s dealings in antiques and collecibles from the late 1950′s thru the early 1970′s. Any information you can provide would be great. I can send you the picture of the back of the item if you want. I was not able to load it. Thanks, Heidi

Hot Water Bottle

Question:
Brown glaze thermos with original metal lid connected to handles by a chain. Perhaps designed for field workers? It is about a foot high. It is marked in black letters "Red Wing Union Ware." It is in near perfect condition with only a few galze pops at firing. Ever seen one like this? I has the birch leaf in relief on the top and bottem of the jug/bottle.
