I have a platter, 2 pitchers, and salt & pepper shakers with yellow flowers and gray leaves. The salt shaker has a crack, the top "lip" is broken off (clean break, and I have the piece), and it is discolored at the base. All other pieces are in great shape. I’m planning to sell it on eBay and haven’t a clue what to ask. Thanks for your help.

Red Wing violin planter with flower painting

Question:
i have a violin that is marked RED WING USA 907 on the back with initials( T N ) with a little music note. the initials are painted in the red and brown paint. has two small chips on neck. also has hole in the top by the pegs to hang it. any information regarding the estimated price/value, information on the initials, and why i have never seen another one painted like this one.. are they supposed to be?? thanks

Answer: Hi, I would guess this to be a hobby shop item, done after the factory closed, It’s a red wing mold, but I don’t think they made it. It’s a hanging planter. The initials are probably who decorated the violin. Value is around 20.00 or so. thanks, steve n rose

Question:
I have #1359, coffee cup handled vase, in 8 color combinations: brown exterior/gold interior, raspberry/turquoise, yellow/gray, green/yellow, coral/jade, blue/yellow, gray/pink, turquoise/white. I would like to know how many color combinations it came in. Also any history, designer, value would be appreciated. I bought 2 in San Diego, where I live, the others in Red Wing on vacation about 12 years ago. Can you email answer to me or notify me if posted on site? Thank you!

Answer: Hi, it was designed in 1949, we call it the stacked teacup vase. It was made for several years, at least thru 1953. I’m not sure how many glaze colors it came in, but I would guess there are a few you don’t have. thanks, steve n rose
